Asthma and Essential Oils

I am really astounded as to how many kids nowadays suffer from asthma! I personally know several of them! So, I decided to do some research and see what alternative things can be done other than have them be on all those meds.... I hope this information will help those of you who suffer from athsma, have kids who do or know someone who does.

NOTE: Essential oils should not be inhaled for asthma-related problems. The oils should be applied to the soles of the feet or ingested if they are GRAS (generally regarded as safe)

During an asthma attack, the bronchials in the lungs become swollen and clogged with thick, sticky mucus. The muscles of the air tubes will also begin to constrict or tighten. This results in very difficult or labored breathing. If an attack is severe, it can actually be life-threatening.

Many asthma attacks are triggered by an allergic reaction to pollen, skin particles, dandruff, cat or dog dander, dust mites, and foods such as eggs, milk, flavorings, dyes and preservatives. Asthma may also be triggered by respiratory infection, exercise, stress, and psychological factors. To accurately treat the problem, it is necessary to know why the asthma attacks are triggered. Every person is different, after all, and so not every treatment should be the same.

Here are some oils that can help:
Single Oils:
Ravansara, Roman Chamomile, Eucalyptus Radiata, spruce, pine, peppermint, lemon, frankincense, marjoram, thyme.

The oils from Neways, which are the oils that we use and recommend to others. They are organic and pure, not adulterated in any way; many oils that are currently sold in health-stores and other places have been adulterated making the oil not only not beneficial, but actually harmful.

The Institute of Spiritual Healing & Aromatherapy (ISHA) recommends only the use of essential oils that have been tested and verified to be of therapeutic quality. There are international standards for therapeutic-grade essential oils: ISO (International Standards Organization) and AFNOR (Association French Normalization Organization Regulation) standards are generally the two referred to most often. The AFNOR standards state the percentages of certain chemical constituents that must be present for an essential oil to be considered therapeutic grade. In order to gain the AFNOR stamp of approval, the oils must be sent to France for testing. A third standard is the EC (European Community) which is considered to be the "gold standard" now for essential oils.

Neways Essential Oils are 100% Certified Therapeutic, unadulterated oils!
